Feeling happy!

I thought I would do a little chatty post today; everybody needs them once in a while. It's the last day of blogging every day in March today and I have loved every minute. At the start of the month I was so organised, having about 8 posts ready to publish and then came the days where I was cramming in a new post at 11pm ready for the next day. In the past month I've gained some lovely people following me and had some sweet comments on my posts. I have been taking part in the #bbloggers chat on a Sunday night and spoke to lots of helpful lovely people that have been nothing but supportive. As well as gaining new followers, I have also found new blogs to follow, so I would really recommend taking part in the Twitter chats. Normally I'm not too good at keeping up with challenges and setting myself things to do each day but this is one of the rare occasions that I have stuck to something. Go me!
If you saw my March Challenge blog post at the end of February, you would have seen I also set myself the challenge of getting a little bit fitter, shall we just say I failed very much so doing this. I think I got to day 8 and then no fitness for me. Did I mention I'm not too good at challenging myself?

One Direction are making me very happy right now, I have a little obsession with the songs I Would and Story of my Life, a little bit too much of a obsession. But they make me happy. All that matters to me. I think anyone should be able to listen to any type of music as long as it brings out well needed emotion.

I got a job! The biggest thing I have achieved in March, actually start my first day today. I now work for a clothing store which I'm so happy about as this is the kind of job I've been looking for the past two years so I'm so lucky to be given the opportunity to start something new. Thank you to my sister who put in a good word for me as I will be taking over her job now she has left there. Good luck to my sister in her new job. I think it definitely helps who you know to get a job these days now all the jobs are advertised on the internet and everybody is just a number. A personal recommendation makes so much more of an impact than a CV on a screen.

Barry M Aquarium - Mediterranean and Pacific

So I went for a little job interview yesterday, after my new best friend offered me the job I decided to go to Telford and treat myself to a little something new. I was planning on originally picking up a Primark bag that I had seen on a YouTube haul but when I saw it in person I wasn't too impressed. A little while later I found myself in Superdrug where I picked myself up two of the new polishes from the new Barry M Aquarium range. Since I saw them being released I thought they were really pretty and knew that I would end up getting at least one of them. The Pacific one I fell in love with immediately when I first saw it so I knew that I'd get that one; I also picked up Mediterranean because it looked so pretty in the bottle. Superdrug had an offer on at the time where it was two for £6 on all polishes that were £3.99; so I couldn't just get the one without the other.

Now I have to say after wearing the two polishes that Mediterranean is my favourite out of the two, it's such a gorgeous colour that looks like it changes colour in the light. It's a lovely coral/pink colour with a shimmer to it which applies lovely, the same goes for Pacific. The images below show two coats of the polish onto just a clear base coat, I think that's enough as they both have great coverage. Overall I would recommend them to anyone.

HyperGel Pinstripe Nails.

My sister asked me to paint my nails in the HyperGel Turquoise Gloss so she could take some photo's for her blog. So I put Breaking Bad on and after two episodes I had finished this pinstripe look.
So simple and such an easy look to do. After painting my nails in the HyperGel polish, I applied the stripes with the Models Own White Nail Art Pen. On the one nail I just added a top coat of the Topshop Epiphany, then finished with a clear top coat.

Links Of London Competition.

Today's post is on me taking part in Inthefrow's competition involving Links of London. This is a great competition giving one of her very lucky readers the opportunity to win £1000 worth of Links of London's jewellery. Check out Victoria's blog post for more details.

Starting off with the Entwine Pendant Necklace which I know my Mom would love for a night out with her ladies, all dressed up and this piece would top off a night time outfit.
The Hope Earrings are are so elegant and beautiful and again so lovely for my Mom.
Now this Rose Gold Chain is so sweet. Ever since I can remember my Mom has always wore a nice simple chain, it's only been the past few years since she's been without one as it broke. I know she would love a new one and I think this one's so lovely especially in the rose gold.
I love this Tan Watch! A little too much I think and Mother again would love this, she's very big into watches and this one would be great for her!
Last but certainly not least cause I could pick nearly everything from this website that I would love to win, but my last item is the Spirit Diamond Bracelet. My favourite piece on the site so how could I not include this.

Blogs I Read.

I thought today I would share with you a few blogs that I have been reading at the moment and loving very much. I've never done one of these posts before and my sister gave me the idea so thought now would be a great time to share with you who's blogs I read and maybe you'll like them too and give them a follow. They are all so lovely so leave them nice comments.

Kariss at Shy Strange and a Little Bit Manic - Kariss's blog is a new one to me, but I love it. She posts on whatever she likes and I think her blog is really unique, posting about books, beauty and whatever she pleases. Really love it.
Fran at Fran Leanne - Another new blog I found which I thinks so cute and really worth a read is Fran's blog. Her posts are really great and I would recommend her blog to anyone.
Holly at What Holly Hearts - Holly's blog is beauty related, great for reviews and really great gift guides. Also another blog I have only recently discovered.
Natalie at Natalie Knows - Natalie is a really great beauty blogger and has such a lovely blog.
Mollie at Mollie Muses - Mollie Muses is an amazing blog and I really enjoy every one of Mollie's posts. I won a giveaway from her and she was so lovely and sweet about everything. Taking a little time off at the moment from blogging. But her blog is definitely worth a read and leave her cute comments.
Issy at Life and Times of a Student - Now all of Issy's posts I absolutely love, currently taking part in a challenge of blogging everyday so lucky me I get lots to read from her. She's really sweet and lovely and her posts make me laugh.
Amy at A Little Boat Sailing - How could I do this post and not mention my sister. Amy runs a great beauty blog with lots to read and she also takes pretty pictures.

Mother's Day Gift Guide.

Only a week away until Mother's day and it's fast approaching so time to get the money out and spend on the most important woman in your life. A few gift idea's for momma this year, starting with chocolate, now what mom doesn't go without a bit of choccie on mother's day. I found this lovely gift idea at Thorntons, they have lots of lovely things to get with price ranges varying. These cute chocolate truffles are so cute and very inexpensive. I found this lovely Pashmina at Peacocks which is very sweet and great for this time of the year.  Yankee candles or any candle in general as I know Yankee candles can be quite expensive. But these are lovely for a Mom who's into lots of different scents. I looked at this cute Bookends from Sainsbury's which I think are great and would actually buy these for myself. Putting cute pictures in of Momma and you or pictures of the family. Even just a nice photo frame would be a great idea too.

Currently I'm... March Update.

I like to do these posts every few months and considering my last one was in September I felt another was due.

Reading
: At the beginning of the year I set myself the challenge to read all of the Harry Potter books and on this day I have only read about the first 5 chapters, so my challenge is not going so well, I suppose. Other than the non-reading of Harry Potter I can't say I've been reading anything else.
Watching: At the start of the month I finally got Netflix yay! So I've been obsessed with Breaking Bad (spoke about that in another post so I won't go into it again) and all the great films they have on there. Also I have just finished the Sex and the City box set for about the fifth time.
Listening to: Avenged Sevenfold, Angels and Airwaves & Bowling for Soup's new album.
Drinking: Recently I've been trying to drink more water. My skin's not looking it's best at the moment so I'm trying to make it look less dead.
Loving: Having a proper working phone again. For the past month and more I have been without a normal working phone. I have been using two phones, one which only works when it's on charge so I could only use it in the house & the other which had no credit on but used to take out with me in case any one wanted to get in touch with me. A right palaver. But now I have the iPhone 4 and I'm loving it.
Enjoying: Focusing on myself. That sounds a little selfish but in the past month I've been looking after myself a little more, buying myself little things as I didn't before. I was always focused on somebody else more than putting my own feelings first.
Learning: Saving. I've never been able to save my money, but I've made the effort to do so now. It's so hard but just saying no to myself has paid off so well.
Wearing: At the moment, I'm chilling in my leggings and converse jumper, just one of those snug days. But I've started to get the shorts, skirts and tights out... Nice weathers on it's way.

Yellow Glitter Nails...

Using No7 - Twinkle Glitter and Barry M - Lemon.
As I said in my Spring Nail Polishes post I will be doing a post on the few favourite polishes I chose within the next few weeks, the first being Barry M - Lemon. I love this colour for spring. Very sheer so you need a few coats for it to look like the proper colour it's supposed to be, in the end I think I did three coats. I then used the No7 - Twinkle Glitter to make it a little more jazzy. :)

Spring Nail Polishes.

Spring is here, made it's lovely way into 2014 with really strong winds & horrible rain that keeps coming and going... But it's here in true British style. I thought I'd pick out a few of the polishes I will be using this spring so stay tuned for a few nails designs using them. Starting with the Rimmel - Too cool to tango, I think this is a great sky blue colour for doing those springy designs. Barry M -Lemon, I'm actually wearing this right now and will have a post up tomorrow showing off my yellow sparkly nails. Barry M - Papaya, I love this, it's a little darker than the other colours but so nice and leaves a lovely finish. Barry M - Greenberry, One of my favourite polishes, I love bright colours so this defiantly fits the bill for me and also one of my favourite colours anyway so an all round winner. Lastly, Essie - To buy or not to buy, Such a pretty colour, so sweet and girly. Will defiantly be using this one soon.

Pink Glitter Nails.

Using Barry M - Strawberry and Barry M - Pink Sapphire Glitter.

My nails have been living in green recently and I wanted to do something a little more girly. So today I present my nails as girl overload. Using the most girly pink ever with a top coat of pink glitter and finished with a top coat.

5 places I would love to visit.

Paris. - Every girls dream I think to visit Paris. It seems like such a beautiful City, so glamorous and romantic. I'd love to go to Paris with a partner one day, visiting all the amazing places Paris has to offer, Love Locks Bridge, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, The Catacombs, Disneyland Paris. There is just so many that one day I will see for myself, not just on the movies.

Disney World Florida. - This ones a no brainer. I love all things Disney and this is the one place I want to go before I die. Totally on my bucket list.

The Abandoned Wonderland Amusement Park outside Beijing, China. - This one I suppose is an odd one but I have a strange fascination with abandoned buildings and this one I think looks so odd. In 1998 the construction of building this theme park was stopped due to financial problems, but the abandoned theme park still stands there today. Lifeless.

New York City. - Another expensive trip that my future self is going to have to splash out on. I blame this one on watching too much Sex And The City. Again, like Paris, the city looks so glamorous and so alive all of the time. The fashion, the lifestyle just looks so amazing and appealing to me.

Ireland. - One of the closest country's to England and I've never been, but how amazing does it look. I think I'd have to get my walking shoes on but it just looks so pretty! So many places to visit, Giant's Causeway, Snowdonia, Dublin Castle... In fact all the castles.

All Pictures are from Pinterest.

The luck of the Irish. St Patrick's Day Nails.

This called for a nail design of course and at a great time because I'm loving green at the moment. It's weird to think that the original colour associated with St Patrick's day was blue, right? But here we are, in Celebration of Saint Patrick wearing green.

Using - Models Own Black & White nail art pens, Barry M - Green Berry, Spring Green, White and Gold Foil, Model's Own - Dancing Queen and 2 various Color Club polishes.

Starting with the little finger, I applied the Green Berry. Once dry I used a dotting tool to apply Spring Green and Gold Foil. The ring finger I applied white and then added a clover. Using a Color Club polish on the middle finger, once dry I used an art pen to create the black thick line and then added the buckle with the Gold Foil polish using a nail art brush. The index finger was easy peasy, painted the nail white, then once dry added the Models Own Dancing Queen over the top. Now the thumb, I'm not too happy with, I used a Color Club polish, then once dry drew on the white and black lines using the Models Own nail art pens.
I know not the best designs, but worth a try :)

Loving at the moment...

Motivation to blog.
I've been through so many phases of wanting to blog and then losing interest in a couple of weeks, I set myself the challenge of blogging every day in March and it's really made me love blogging again. I'm really hoping I don't lose interest after the challenge is over as I really do enjoy it. Having the #bbloggers chats on Twitter on Sundays is so great, get to talk to some lovely people and learn about other people's experiences about blogging.

Breaking Bad.
I've recently just got Netflix and started watching Breaking Bad (I know I'm so late watching it) Oh my god, how good is it. I'm in the middle of Season 2 now and I am addicted to it. I won't put in any spoilers but watch it!

Acoustic songs.
Now I suppose this isn't really a 'at the moment' type of thing I'm loving as acoustic music is always my favourite type of music. But I suppose more particular, I'm loving one YouTuber that does acoustic covers of Blink 182 songs. I love Blink 182 and to find someone that does a hell of a lot of covers of theirs, match made in heaven. I've known of him for over 6 months now but a song he covered recently drew in my attention again.

)

Spring.
Isn't it lovely out right now! The nice weathers coming and it makes everything seem just a little better. Makes blogging easier with the natural sunlight making your photo's look pretty. Still a little windy out but it's not technically spring yet so the weather is forgiven, for now. The wildlife is back and the flowers are coming out, everything just looks so much more alive. Just cannot wait for summer to come along now!
& Oliver's loving it too :)

Models Own HyperGel Turquiose Gloss Review.

I love Models Own anyway so this isn't a hard review for me to do, it's my first review so I suppose I had to make it an easy one, right?
This colour is so pretty and it's made me want to buy more of the HyperGel polishes now, it looks so shiny, lovely colour and great to apply. A lot of the Models Own polishes had the big chunky brush to apply it but this one has one of the thinner brushes so it's easier to apply onto the little finger without any going on to your hand. I love it & I've had a lot of compliments on it, which is always nice :)
Because it's such a lovely Spring colour, I thought I'd do a little design on it too. Plus I get bored, so this took up an hour or so. Using the Barry M - White, nail dotting tools and some nail tape. I came up with this little design just to complete the look.

Behind the blog.

Found this cute little tag at Pale Girl Reviews blog, I thought I'd do it for myself.

NAME, BIRTHDAY & LOCATION?
Victoria Louise Keeling. Feels like the longest name ever when putting it on job applications. Birthday - 7.8.92 and living in the West Midlands.

WHERE DID YOUR BLOG NAME COME FROM?
Originally my blog was called Perfect, I'm yours - Horrible name for a blog but I made it around 2008 and was young. But I changed it last year to What a Little Pickle, the reason for this, Ashley calls me his Pickle and I'm short. Simple enough.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT MY APPEARANCE
I'm 5'4, and currently have shortish red hair but it changes constantly. Going to stay red for a bit though I think now. I have 6 tattoo's, but 4 are always covered so you'd never know they are there. My eyes are 3 different colours if you look closely, grey, brown and green.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT MY PERSONALITY
I instantly know when I meet someone if we'd be good friends. I always go with my heart over my head. After spending time with loads of people I like to be on my own for like a whole day, just doing whatever I want to do, I like to be on my own. I'm kind and I like to think I'm creative.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS?
I've been with Ashley the past year. He's my best friend.

ANY PETS?
One pussycat, Mr Oliver Keeling but I want to get a hamster... Maybe soon.

BEAUTY ITEM ESSENTIALS?
Any nail polish, foundation & eyeliner. Hardly ever catch me outside the house without eyeliner.

LIFESTYLE ESSENTIALS?
Ipod, Crisps and comfy jogging bottoms for being in the house.

SIGNATURE PERFUME?
For the past two years I've had Britney Spears - Fantasy. But I fancied a change and this year I have the One Direction perfume. Now I know I'm not a huge One Direction fan but the perfume is so nice. So, no judgement.
Also the Charlie Pink perfume for everyday.

WHEN I’M NOT BLOGGING I AM...?
Painting my nails. Watching films. Watching Sex and the City. Listening to music. Looking for work. Trying to read the Harry Potter books. Watching Youtube videos. Instagraming. Spending time with family & friends.

Boots Nail Polish Haul.

With the great 3 for 2 offer on at Boots I couldn't resist not going out and buying myself a few new polishes when I got paid. I was there for a while not knowing which ones to buy but I finally made a decision on three new Models Own colours and one Gelly Barry M. The one's I brought were from left to right, Models Own Ice Neon Pink Punch, Barry M Gelly Blue Grape, Models Own Ice Neon Pukka Purple and Models Own HyperGel Turquoise Gloss.
I think all of them are so great and bright. I will be doing individual reviews on them all so stay tuned...
